  On my latest thread I posted this:-

  My name is Mike, and I am such a terrible person that my former friends wanted to to arrange a special emergency meeting to disfellowship me. The meeting was to take place on Monday the...well that's not important, what is important is that i was not found hiding from the meeting in a dustbin, nor did I defend myself, instead I simply did not attend. More importantly I learnt if my former friends treat me like that, they were never my friends, and I will certainly not go through my life with there " opinion" is the all and end all of what's important.

  So I think these threads on proof of Gods existence are insane, we are here together ex- Jehovers Witnesses and we need special emergency meetings to discuss if God exists. That's insane. So unless you want the 300 honours and noble prize and can prove the point remmber people will still disagree? And if you can proove the point it would be bloody wonderful, but then those that oppose your thinking will " unanimously" dismiss what you say anyway. And who knows maybe someday in the not to long away future those that " unanimously " opposed your viewpoint will be proven right? Anyway either way I believe we all will all exspsrince rigamorphous

  my reason for stating the thread is that on occasion some threads do tend to get a little heated here, and maybe this thread will enable us to reflect on the important fact, we are real people and not just dots on a computer screen.. i would love to start the thread with a bang, but nothing of particular interest has happened, only i do hope the weather improves as the climate i live in has been sadly chilly for the time of year, (if you get the deeper meaning).

  So how was my day? Bloody wonderful, even if the motion is to " unanimously" dismiss such thoughts because I believe/ don't believe in God/ . Such threads are insane, we leave being Jehoves witnesses and we need special emergency meetings to discuss if God exists. That is useless, unless you want the 300 honors and a noble prize to prove the point either way,

  Thanks for " runting" " sowhatnow" it was the first post I have read of yours and it was very enlightening and made me appreciate, we are all living vital humun beings and the complexities of our life's are challenging. Therefore your spending the time posting on this site is a kindness I now appreciate.

  Katewild, you are what this board is about, and I have loved reading your post history, you make this place humun. And what I mean by that is you are so much more in your posts than a dot on a computer screen, you come across to me as a woman whose breasts rise and fall as she breaths, a woman alive in her sensitivity and emotions. That to me means " You will Never walk alone" even if you don't attend the matches.

  z is no long the coordinator(76 years old), bro y(60) is now the new coordinator of the body of elders".. you see, bro.

  I don't want my post to appear insensitive, but this is not a " blanket" condemnation on the Watchtower, it is unfortunately the way all business led organizations treat " people"

  Sadly " organizations" do not have feelings, and they do not put the individual ahead of what benefits the " organization". This is the greatest lesson to learn from our freedom from the Watchtower, do not make the same mistake again and attach yourself to an " organization" no matter how worthy the cause. At least not if you expect to be treated as an individual.

  i noticed alot of exjws end up majoring in the social sciences.

  i am also interested in what educational choices people have made either while fading or while completely out.

  If I am honest, since leaving I have tried to gain an education in the university of life. I wouldn't say I have majored in it, in fact I have failed on quite a few assignments, but I am enjoying the education.

  Sorry folks back again with my conclusion on the thread.

  I do not believe in a God, and I feel no one has managed to make a convincing argument that he exists to me. I am not saying that God, CAN not exist, neither am I opposed to the idea of the supernatural, although I am pretty sure the world was not created by an omni-potent and omni-benevolent entity and I disagree with the notion that there has to be a God because something cannot become out of nothing or similar arguments.

  OK bottom line, I believe no one can prove Gods existence at THIS MOMENT in time ( except himself theoretically) and even if there is an omnipotent monothestic creator, diety of some kind, there is no reason to believe one person over another when it comes to the nature of that said entity.

  Thats my personal position based on the thread, and thanks for the insightful comments.
